Jonathan Huberdeau is the 27th-best NHL player and the 2nd-best Calgary Flames player in terms of Value at the moment. Despite the solid positions, the 2022-23 season was a disappointing one for the star winger. Last summer, after a 115-point year with the Florida Panthers, his Value hit a phenomenal $10 304 192, and he was the 11th-best player in the World at the time of the trade to a Canadian team.

But the forward didn't play well in his first year in Alberta. By February, Huberdeau's Value had dropped by 16% at once and remained almost unchanged for the rest of the regular season. Calgary Flames didn't make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the player finished the 2022-23 season with an $8 648 464 Value. It is $1 655 728 less than a year earlier.

The fall in the Value is due to poor stats in the 2022-23 season. Huberdeau scored 15 goals and had 55 points through 79 games. Having lost $1.66M, he is the worst player on the Flames in terms of Value reduction. Hopefully, the 30-year-old forward will bounce back in the 2023-24 season when his new 8-year contract begins and his Cap Hit is $10.5M.
