David Pastrnak's Value is $13 023 490 after the 2022-23 season

The new Value of the Bruins' winger is $13 023 490.

David Pastrnak is the best Boston player in the 2022-23 season and many numbers confirm this. Firstly, he increased his Value by $2 665 185 this year. It is the leading progress in the team with a significant advantage over the closest pursuer Pavel Zacha, who improved by $2 189 687. The forward achieved this result mainly in the regular season, where he produced a career-high 61 goals, 52 assists, 113 points, and a plus-34 rating. Only the super duo from the Edmonton Oilers overtook him in the NHL scoring race.

The Pastrnak Value's progress declined during the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. In Round 1 against the future finalist Florida Panthers, he improved only by $288 960 (the 4th-best result in Boston) and scored 5 points. As you can see on the Value chart, David played unsuccessfully in only 2 games when his Value went down: Game 2 and Game 5. At the end of the series, he added $79K in Game 6 and $94K in Game 7 to his Value and was one of the Bruins leaders in terms of this indicator.

Today David Pastrnak's Value is $13 023 490. The 27-year-old player ranks the 1st on the Bruins for the third season in a row. And he has improved his position in the NHL Player Rating: he is 6th and previously was 10th and 7th. Even the phenomenal Matthew Tkachuk, who played in the Stanley Cup Final, was a little behind him.

Pastrnak proves that he is one of the stars of the NHL once again. For Boston, the previous contract of the Czech player was a great success, in the last year of which his Value was twice his Cap Hit. And even a new 8-year extension now looks like an underpayment and an excellent deal for Don Sweeney.
