The current Value of the defenseman is $2 562 934.

Vladislav Gavrikov signed an extension with the Los Angeles Kings. Elliotte Friedman said that the 2-year new contract has an average annual value of $5.875M, and includes a full no-movement clause. According to Benchrates algorithm, the new Cap Hit is $3.3M more than the player's current Value. This indicator is $2 562 934 and it is the career-high result of the 27-year-old defenseman.

The modest figures are compensated by the player's amazing consistency. Gavrikov increased his Value by $636 138 in the 2021-22 season and by $607 213 in the 2022-23 season. After a trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets, he had only 3 games, as a result of which his Value decreased. In terms of Value progress, Vladislav is the 5th-best Kings' player since March 1st (+$732 057) and the 9th-best in the team in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs (+$211 448).

With the pace of progress he's made in the spring, the defenseman would increase his Value by $2M from 82 regular season games in the 2023-24 season. As a result, Gavrikov would be much closer to his new Cap Hit.

Today the deal looks like a big win for the player and the agent. But the numbers in the contract are influenced by the market, where there was probably a lot of demand for the 27-year-old defenseman. At the same time, right now Gavrikov ranks 88th in the world and 3rd in the Los Angeles Kings among all blueliners, and the team acquired a solid ***** d-man for at least a couple of seasons.
