Sebastian Aho signs an 8-year contract extension worth $9.75M AAV through the 2031-32 season with the Carolina Hurricanes. According to Benchrates algorithm, this new AAV is $1.15M less than the forward's current Value, which is $10 902 749 and increased by $802 312 in the 2021-22 season and by $197 261 in the 2022-23 season.
After the 2021-22 season, which was a breakout period, Aho slowed down the next season. By mid-February, his Value fell to $9.7M, after which he had good and bad periods until the end of the regular season, but the indicator steadily grew in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
