The Colorado Avalanche has re-signed forward Casey Mittelstadt to a three-year contract extension worth $5,750,000 AAV, per Chris Johnston.
Mittelstadt played at a level of over $6 million for two seasons despite the little decline after the trade to the Colorado.
If he repeats his production, he will overproduce his Cap Hit every year and the Avalanche will fill the 2nd center spot for team-friendly money. If he doesn't do it, a 3-year deal isn't as risky as a long-term one.
